Hudson is here

Here is a collection of pics over the past week. Hudson Kyle Walker was born on March 14 at 4:41 pm. He weighed 7 pounds and was 19.75 inches long. It was truly one of the greatest days of my life- just behind the day I married my wife. I so proud of my wife, my son, and a great God. Enjoy the pics!

Your World is About to Be Rocked!

On Saturday, March 14, at 4:41 pm, Hudson Kyle was born. Preceding the birth, people would tell me, "Kyle, your world is about to be rocked." And they would always say it with a chuckle. I wasn't sure what all went into that chuckle, but I think this video is a small part of it. Enjoy!

Surprise!

On February 21 my wife threw me a surprise birthday party. It was really cool. I was completely caught off guard and I can say for sure that I truly felt special. Thanks, Love, for your work in making me feel special and thanks to everyone who made it out to the house. I am blessed with such great friends.
Here are some pics from the night.

Yvette Becerra is the best cake decorator/baker that I have ever known or seen. Incredible work.
Moses the Magnificent enjoyed himself.

Horrible Drivers

Sunday night, on our way home from 412 United, I was a witness to a horrible driver. The following account is a true story:

It was a clear, crisp, dark night. 8:30 pm to be exactish. I was driving our Honda Civic, wife beside me. We decided to take an alternate route home in order to feed the wife (with baby in belly) from McDonalds. As I was sitting at the stoplight, waiting to take a right-hand turn off of Broad onto Walnut Creek, I noticed a woman driver who was turning very slowly onto Walnut Creek. She was coming from the opposite direction with a protected left turn signal. As she inched her way through the turn, she stared rudely at Jessica and I. Jessica said, "Well then, okay." I said, "What's her problem?" We both shared a good chuckle. It was kind of bizarre.
After waiting for her to turn in front of me, I made my right-hand turn onto Walnut Creek. I was now right behind her. She was still driving SO slow. As I pulled up behind her, she put on her right blinker to turn into Sonic. Once again, she was driving SO slow! In disgust, I stared at her and shook my head as we drove by and said these exact words, "Bad driver.  That's horrible."

Immediately after passing her, I look up and notice something spectacular and said,  "It's REALLY DARK." I then proceeded to turn my headlights on.

Like I said, I experienced a bad driver on Sunday night. His name was Kyle. Sometimes I can't stand horrible drivers!

This is sure to show up sometime in a sermon.

idols

I was just reading Acts 17 and I came across this verse- "Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he saw that the city was full of idols."
It appears though, that one of this country's biggest idols is toppling over right now. Money. I pray that our eyes would be opened to see the devastation that is caused by worshipping something that is not Christ.
God, make me more like Paul. Let my spirit be provoked as you open my eyes to see the idols in this country.

Super Bowl 43- offdahook

I thought Super Bowl 43 was awesome last night. I don't like either one of the teams that played because their names aren't Dallas Cowboys, but I have some players on both teams that I was pulling for. Here are my thoughts from last night:

Best thing about last night: Getting to know the Callaways and hanging out with some people from the Beginner's Home Team

The OMG moment: 100 yard interception return to end the 1st half

Most troubling scene: Watching Bruce Springstein being the halftime show on his knees with the mic stand between his legs. I didn't understand what he was trying to communicate and then I was afraid his back had gone out and he couldn't get up.

Most awkward moment while hanging out with Christian brothers and sisters: It's a tie: Godaddy commercials and Bruce Springstein sliding on the stage into the camera with his crotch.  No one really knew what to say! Yikes.

Most Deserving MVP of the Super Bowl: Though Santonio Holmes took home the MVP, it should have been awarded to Big Ben.

Favorite Commercial: 1st- Coke commercial with Troy Polamalu and the kid.  2nd- Crystal ball Doritos Commercial.

Did you have any bests, worsts, favorites, awkward moments, omg moments, etc?
